Welcome to Pathway
What to Expect
The focus of our worship is God’s story of redemption and our place in that story.
In an age of complexity, distractions, and noise, Pathway’s worship is intentionally simple and authentic. We believe there’s something genuine and beautiful about a form of unadorned worship that places us in the background and Jesus in the foreground. We gather twice each Sunday and our worship services usually last about 60 minutes.
Join us at 12:30pm and 2:30pm every Sunday
Our worship gatherings are currently at
3215 Trethewey St, Abbotsford, BC V2T 4C1
Child Care
Enjoy knowing your young children are well cared for while you worship with us. Our babysit is geared for babies and toddlers, but rest assured that any and all children are welcome in our services, we don’t mind some wiggling!
What does a typical worship service look like?
Below is an example of our order of worship for a morning service, with simple explanations for each element in the service. If you have any questions, feel free to speak with the leaders of our worship service, or connect through the website. We’d be glad to interact with you!
Welcome and Announcements
Opening Gathering Songs (2)
Gathering songs offer a time to prepare our hearts for worship. Sometimes these songs are more contemporary in nature; other times they are older, more historic songs sung by Christians throughout the centuries.
Call to Worship
God graciously calls us into His presence to worship Him.
God’s Greeting
God graciously welcomes us in Christ.
Song
After being greeted by the Lord, we respond by singing together in praise to our God!
Confession and Assurance
This portion of our worship service allows us the opportunity to search our hearts, examine our lives, confess our sins, and believingly draw near to Jesus Christ for forgiveness. It’s also during this time that God through Christ assures that our sins are forgiven.
Song
Singing allows us the opportunity to voice our gratitude to God for His grace and all the benefits we have in Jesus Christ.
Congregational Prayer
Prayer allows us time to give expression to our adoration of God, gratitude to God, and need for God to answer the many requests we bring before Him.
Offering
Our offerings allow us to thank God for all His tender mercies by giving financially to various causes.
Scripture Reading
Each worship service we have the opportunity to hear a reading from the Bible.
Ministry of the Word
Each worship service our pastor proclaims, teaches, and explains a passage from the Bible as a way of deepening our faith and drawing those unfamiliar with Jesus to Himself.
Song
Once again, singing allows us to voice our gratitude to God for His grace and all the benefits we have in Christ.
The Lord’s Parting Blessing
At the conclusion of the worship service, God sends us out from His presence with His blessing so that we in turn would be a blessing to the world.
Parting Song of Praise
This is our final song and one that allows us voice of parting praise to God.
